Operation Steel Wave: Ubisoft reveals the name of the operation for Rainbow Six Siege

Rainbow Six Siege is one of the most popular stealth games in the market. It is from the Tom Clancy franchise and is one of the most successful among those. Ubisoft recently announced the name of the new operation that is set to hit Rainbow Six Siege. This new operation will be called the Operation Steel Wave. The official Rainbow Six Twitter handle tweeted about this development. The tweet featured a GIF which shows broken steel beams and the silhouettes of the two upcoming operators. You can also see that one of the operators is carrying a giant backpack.

Apart from this, the developers are also reworking the House map this new season. They revealed a look of this map when they announced the roadmap for Year 5. “We’re just making it a little bit bigger,” said developer Roy Del Valle at the Six Invitational. “We’re adding an extra set of stairs — we’re very excited about it.” The new season was supposed to be revealed on May 17, with the Season 11 Pro League finals for Rainbow Six. But due to the cancellation of that event, no new date has been announced.

Rainbow Six Siege: New ops

There were several other leaks regarding the Operation Steel Wave which came out earlier. Those leaks hinted on the fact that the first operator of the upcoming season will be a South African who’ll go by the name of Melusi. She will have access to high-end gadgets and weapons. Some of them include a three-armour one-speed op with a Smart Wire gadget. This will work similarly to a Barbed Wire, but it will also have several in-game benefits. It’ll dramatically slow down enemies, deal damage over time, mark gadgets and be immune to melee attacks. Rumours suggest that she’ll feature ITA12L shotgun, T-5 SMG with an ACOG, and the RG-15 pistol.

The other op will be a Norwegian and will go by the name Ace. He is an attacker with a “Spider drone’ for a gadget. This gadget will allow him to climb walls and ceilings and also dig holes through soft walls. A cool feature of this gadget is that it’ll also fire health charges which can heal allies. C7E and AK-12 rifles, along with SDP 9mm and PMM sidearms are the weapons of his choice.  There are many other leaks online who feature the full teaser trailer of the new season, but there is no guarantee if they are true or not.
